Hand Tooled Leather Lazy Susan

Step 4

Now that the leaves and the grapes are tooled, the back ground will be tooled to make the rest of the tooling pop.

This process is extremely repetitive but really gives the product a quality finish.

This is the same back ground pattern tool in two different sizes. The small tool handles the small corners very well and the larger tool covers the rest of the back ground fairly quickly.

Here is the finished product ready for the next step, coloring and staining.  Let the leather dry completely before you start any coloring or staining of the leather.
